I will never get a Discover Gift card again. Why do they put an expiration date on the card if you lose $2.50 per monthy after the 1st year. Some forget they have it in their wallet and see the expiration date a think they have plenty of time to use the card. What a ripoff.

There is no charge on the card unless you do not use it within a year! THIS IS THE BEST CARD ON THE MARKET! Stop the whining and enjoy the CASH BACK. Keep a log, OMG, you must be getting one heck of a huge card. LOL.

The only cash back you get, is part of the over-payment they charage you. It is just better to save your money and pay cash. At least the credit card componies will stop getting richer on your hard earned cash!

do not go this route. If the individual you gift this to doesn't use the card right away they will not receive the whole give. Their is a monthly service charge that will reduce the amount on the card. Granted it is less than visa (2.50) a month but that money could have been used to buy a gallon of milk or my child's lunch instead. Much better served giving them a gift card to a specific store or cash.

Absolutely!!!This is a real hassel....especially for being a gift!! I dont want to have to make a call or get online or have to keep a ledger for every card!!! At least have the balance show up on the receipt of whatever was purchased with the card!!!
