Why can't I get the balance on my gift card??

I received gift cards for my birthday to use on vacation. The cards are allegedly the "same as cash". Stopped at a Mobile station in South Carolina and was charge the CREDIT price instead of the CASH price. The clerk said the cash price is only when paying with physical dollars, not a debit card. Done with ExxonMobile !

My gift cards for Exxon Mobil were never used and have a zero balance. I used my bank points to obtain them and others. All others worked fine. Not these. Never again. No more Exxon or Mobil for me.

Before checking balance on my Mobil gift I the above comments. It took me 15 seconds to enter card number and received my balance immediately. What ever was wrong is now repaired.

Why do they tell you that you can check the balance of a gift card when they don't give you a way to do that? Never again will I use Mobil. They also tell you that the gift cards can be used for purchases like snacks, however, I have tried 4 or 5 times to do just that and the cashier will tell me that the card is not valid for inside purchases. They already have my money so they couldn't be bothered to help answer questions or give me a balance on a gift card. What HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!

Why does the pump always start short of using my entire balance on the gift card> I have several gift cards that have balances of around 19 to 39 cents on them. An no, my gas tank was NOT full.

I will not be using Exxon Mobil henceforth. The unused gift card that I received for my birthday was de-activated by Exxon Mobil, and the process to reactivate it was extremely cumbersome. Ok, they beat me for the value of the card and lost me as a customer for life. Do they care?... Not in the least. They have so much wealth that they can treat their customers very poorly. I asked to speak to a supervisor because Tanesha was just plain unhelpful and I spent the next 38 minutes on hold. Ryan, the supervisor was awful. i discovered that this after hours answering service is not trained nor equipped to provide customer service. WOW - I am so very disenchanted with ExMo.
